Gangsters
During the 1920s, the recent prohibition laws sparked a wave of gang violence and crimes, such as bootlegging. The Great Depression caused many families and individuals to fall into financial crisis and people turned to other ways of making money. Gangsters, including Al Capone and Fred Burke, became notorious during the 20th century and their criminal activity was continued even after they had been sent to jail.
